We were greeted by a really lovely tabby cat, so that was great! Quick and easy check-in, despite us arriving later in the evening. The room was very clean and tidy and the location was perfect - 200m from the start line of the running race that we were in Turangi for. Great shower! And really appreciated the spotless bathroom - I haven't seen such a clean motel bathroom in a long time.

Location excellent, staff friendly, welcoming and there to please guest/s Room very warm and inviting. Had all the comforts of home. Felt totally safe and secure. Will gladly stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at this older motel. A good layout with covered entry and a sheltered outdoor seating area at the rear. Generous bench space for meal preparation. A missing coffee plunger quickly replaced.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Room felt spotless, probably the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. Good location, close to Taupo and especially if you are doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, about 30min drive to the carpark. Has a full kitchen set up, great water pressure. Very calm and serene location. Stayed there for three nights and enjoyed all three of them.

Clean room, bed, kitchen, and dishes. AC works fine. The heated sheet was useful at cold night. Good balcony to have breakfast. Good stop after Tongariro alpine crossing, as it is too far to drive to Taupo after the hike.

Peaceful location close to the Tongariro River but off the main road, but also not far from Turangi township. A traditional motel at which the unit was very clean and well-equipped. Friendly owners who are busy refurbishing. Small deck area at the back of the unit is a nice addition.

Nice Motel, had a large apartment with balcony, couch area and kitchen area with dishes, cutlery and everything you need. Turangi town centre is close. Perfect starting point for explorations at Lake Taupo, Tongariro NP or relaxing at the hot pools at Tokaanu. Friendly staff.

Everything you needed for a single person. Two people would be fine as well if you like the bed against the wall. Only problem I found was I couldn't easily reach the Hooks for hanging coats or the towel. Maybe small plastic stool would help. Staff very helpful. Shower excellent size
