Stella(host) welcomed me warmly and went above and beyond with the helpful service she provided. The unit looked very newly renovated, and was lovely. Tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. It was nice to see the art work on the walls was reflecting the beautiful location. The bed was super comfortable. All in all an ideal place for my one night stay to break my journey down the Island. Great value for money. Also one street back from the main road, so very quiet. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants but after a long day’s drive I’d recommend the easy local pizza delivery service; absolutely delicious.

Location excellent, staff friendly, welcoming and there to please guest/s Room very warm and inviting. Had all the comforts of home. Felt totally safe and secure. Will gladly stay there again.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Room felt spotless, probably the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. Good location, close to Taupo and especially if you are doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, about 30min drive to the carpark. Has a full kitchen set up, great water pressure. Very calm and serene location. Stayed there for three nights and enjoyed all three of them.

Owner/manager is extremely friendly and accommodating. I stay here frequently when travelling between the Bay of Plenty and Wellington and know I can rely on receiving great service. My only request would be for shower caddies to be added to avoid the risk of slipping over when reaching for body wash/shampoo from the shower base.

Clean room, bed, kitchen, and dishes. AC works fine. The heated sheet was useful at cold night. Good balcony to have breakfast. Good stop after Tongariro alpine crossing, as it is too far to drive to Taupo after the hike.
